St. Chad's was 50 years old in 2004!

We had a great year celebrating God's goodness to us!!

Our "strapline" for the year was:
"Welcoming, Worshipping, Walking with God"

A Brief History

The foundation stone for the original St Chad's Church was laid on May 15 1954. The first vicar was the Revd Roland Jeacock.

Worship was held at this building until the new church was built and opened in 1966.

The original Church building is now the Church Hall.
